Applications Open
The online application portal opens. Start preparing your materials including resume, transcript, and personal statement.
Application Deadline
All application materials, including the letter of recommendation, must be submitted by 11:59 PM MST.
Recommendation Deadline
Last day for recommenders to submit letters of recommendation through the portal.
Application Review
Applications are reviewed by the selection committee. Top candidates may be contacted for brief interviews.
Decisions Released
All applicants will be notified of their application status via email.
Acceptance Deadline
Accepted students must confirm their participation by this date.
2Summer Program Schedule
10-Week Research Experience
June 2 - August 8, 2026
Welcome session, campus tour, safety training, and introduction to mentors and fellow students.
Intensive workshops on laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and research ethics.
Students start working full-time in their assigned research laboratories with their mentors.
Weekly seminars on topics including graduate school preparation, scientific communication, and career paths.
Program holiday - no scheduled activities.
Individual meetings with program directors to discuss progress and address any concerns.
Students present their research through poster and oral presentations to faculty, mentors, and peers.
Celebration of achievements, certificate presentation, and farewell reception.
